What you should avoid:

  • Artificial food colouring
  • Processed foods
  • Cooking with aluminum
  • Cooking in vegetable oils, canola oil and rice bran oils
  • Non-organic fruit and vegetables
  • GMO foods
  • Cooking in the microwave
  • Preservatives
  • Putting hot food and heating food in plastic containers (especially recycled 3 and 7)
  • Alcohol
  • Caffeine, particularly before 10am
  • Refined sugars
  • Energy drinks. and other stimulants
  • Processed carbohydrates

Simple and Natural solutions:

  • Cook with coconut oil, olive oil (if not cooking at high temperatures), or animal fats
  • Dedicate time to preparing meals, and weekly meal plans to buy in bulk
  • Use paper bags or glass containers to pack lunches
  • Use glass containers for food storage
  • Use stainless steel pots and pans for cooking
  • Choose organic foods where possible
  • Diet consisting of primarily of whole foods, plenty of vegetables, some fruit and  high quality animal products
  • Grow your own vegetables and fruit, particularly Celery, Lettuce’s, and leafy greens


What you should avoid:

  • Reusing plastic bottles
  • Leaving plastic bottles in the car
  • Chlorine and fluoride in water
  • Minimize soda/sparkling water intake

Simple and Natural solutions:

  • Drink only filtered water –  Check whether fluoride, chlorine and heavy metals are removed by the filter
  • Get a water filter installed – For your entire home, shower, or drinking water depending on the budget
  • Use stainless steel, BPA free, or glass drink bottles

What you should avoid:


  • Smoking and Second-hand smoke
  • Damp or moldy homes
  • Exposure to dust, chemicals, and solvents in industrial settings
  • Cleaning products with harsh chemicals
  • Watching TV, and phone use late at night before bed

  • Shoe free home, always leaving shoes at the door – this helps not bring in heavy mess and pollutants into the home
  • Cleaning carpets regularly

  • Skin care products with the following chemicals; sulphates, parabens, DEA, SLS, TALC, Aluminium, Propylene Glycol

  • Read the ingredients list
  • Buy Organic and natural hair products
  • Look for the ‘Paraben Free’ label

  • Search for Organic brands, they tend to have less nasty chemicals

Stress and Negative Thinking

What you should avoid:

  • Mind clutter
  • Overload of workload
  • Taking on too much
  • Rushing from A to B and not allowing enough times for tasks

  • Identify negative thoughts, process it, do not dwell on it – change your perception
